You should be able too? When you go to capture there is the DV check part or you switch it to HDV. I also have the XDcam browser that you need to use for the other formats. What kind of camera is it and what is the format you are trying to download????

I capture HDV from a Canon XH-A1s almost every day in Sony Vegas... works well. Check your settings... There are some good tutorials on Youtube about capturing HD using Sony Vegas.
Dumb questions but had to be asked, 'Which version of Vegas are you using?' 'Have you reinstalled Vegas?' 'Have you installed the latest updates?' Does your camera have a DV/HDV switch? Have you flipped the switch to HDV for editing?'
