HDR-FX1 vs. HDR-FX7

    hey i just wanted to hear some pros and cons on these two cams and also as much info on the audio on both since i hear neither have xlr outputs

  2. I prefer the older FX1 over the FX7 due to the stop knob on the zoom. The audio isn't the best. However with a mic it does perfect. Also, the FX7 is a bit smaller and about the same weight. Most of the buttons are in the same relative space. The newer FX1000 has a very different feel to it, and you might want to look into that. Here is the review:

    The new FX-1 does have XLR inputs and it's the most bang for the buck camera I know of today. I love it. I've modified mine to suit my exact needs and could not be happier. I'll get another when I kill this one.
