I am working on creating trailers as practice for with IMOVIE and FCP6...where can I obtain HD clips, or high quality clips of the MPAA rating certifications to add authenticity to my trailer...is this legal?   Is there a method to snatching a clip from YOU TUBE.   I did just that and inserted  rating clip into my IMOVIE project and it looked less than spectacular.

    Thanks

  2. Check free clips offered by many small stock footage companies such as:

Don't kick things off by stealing elements, man. It takes no more time to make a rating slate than it does to pirate one.

Follow Grinner advice and disregard my answer, I read your post careless and thought you were asking for free HD clips to practice.

Legally the MPAA ratings apply only to motion pictures that are submitted for rating and they are trademarked to secure that they are not used outside of motion pictures.

You may want to investigate http://filmratings.com/filmRatings_Cara/ and http://www.mpaa.org/.
