Hardware for converting MiniDV to DVD

    I'm looking for a hardware solution to convert my dozens of MiniDV (HD) tapes to DVD.  Ideally, I would love a piece of equipment that could read my HD MiniDV Tapes and Convert them to Blu-Ray - but that might be asking for too much.   I'm through trying to bring the Video into a PC/Mac and then edit it, Render it,etc.  It takes too long and usually crashes.

   I'm looking for a hardware alternative.   I can live with straight MiniDV to DVD - provided it can "down scale" a HD MiniDV tape.

   I saw a JVC unit that could do this, but I wanted to know if there were any other alternatives out there.
