Hello. I'm a senior in high school and i'm looking for a film school to go to. Right now my top 3 picks are Full Sail (if I can get the money), the Los Angeles Film School, or the Art Ins. of SF. I'm not living with my parents, so I need to find out stuff about grants and scholarships on my own. I can't file for financial aid because my dad is still my gaurdian, and he makes too much money for financial aid, so I need to find some way to get money. Thanks for help.

Also, if you know of any other schools that are good as far as filming/post production can you please list them with either a phone number or a web-site?

I'm currently attending the Art Institute of Philadelphia for their Bachelors in Digital Media Production program. It's a great place to be. They have lots of Mac G5 labs with the latest software and cover everything from Final Cut pro to premiere and Avid as far as editing goes. Others areas that are covered are web design (Dreamweaver, fireworks, photoshop etc.) Authoring (Director, Flash, DVD Studio Pro) as well as some of the basics like lighting, writing, and camera work. They have quite a supply of equipment including a couple DVX100A.

As far as money goes, majority of the people going here have loans out in their own names. Keep your eyes peeled, but i dunno of any scholarship oppurtunites here.

What about Columbia College in Hollywood, they look very promising, i'm supposed to be taking a tour there and sit in on an editing class soon.

You should look for a book called "Film School Confidential" written by a couple of NYU masters in fine arts (MFA) grads.
