I purchased the fx7 and need help with what to do to capture from the camera to my computer.  Do I need a capture card or can I use a USB port to capture? What cables would I need to do this?  I am using for my editing purposes Adobe Premiere elements 9.  This is all new to me and thought I would ask some people that would and could help me.  Thanks for any input.

For the FX7 you need a fire wire port on your computer and a fire wire cable.  If your computer does not have a fire wire port you will have to add a fire wire card.

I'm not familiar with the software you are using but most video editing programs will have a capture program included and that is what you use to capture the video from the camera once you have it connected thru the fire wire.

Thank you Cville.  I will have a fire wire port installed on my system.
