Any recommendations on good settings for cleaning up old (10+ years) analog video in Pinnacle? The settings I have tried all create a side-effect that makes the video look like it's viewed through a set of blinds whenever there's any camera movement (which is all the time in my old analog stuff). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

It's been probably a year since I last used Pinnacle Studio 9+ for color correction with analog video, but I didn't have the problem you're referring to. It did, however, increase render times quite a bit.

You have a couple of possible causes:

    * your machine may be too slow, or not enough memory to handle the task.
    * you may be trying to apply multiple effects that do not "play well" together.
    * you may need an update patch.

The Pinnacle user forums are probably your best bet for a knowledgeable solution.

Don't try to colour correct after you have captured your video - do it at time of capture.
Correct your colour saturation, contrast and brigtness at time of capture. In capture mode click on the left hand side of the "Diskometer" to open the panel that will control these.

Correcting at capture will help considerably and will reduce your render time dramatically.
