hello all, this is my first post on this site. i have a few questions

    1. What is the feature i see on many camcorders that turns scenes bright green or white so you can see what is going on in dark environments.

    2. What are some good camcorders to buy to record scenes in dark places with the feature mentioned above, Lots of movement, and loud intricuit sounds, and is somewhat cheap(does not have to be, but preferably)

thank you for your help in advance

Sony calls the feature Night Shot on my original D-8 camcorder, and it has a "super" setting that works when you add more infrared light. Security cameras call it IR. It's a bit of a gimmic feature not found on higher end cams, but if you want it, that's what it's called. I'm sorry I haven't kept track of what makers/models continue to offer it, but some searching should turn up the answers. Try Google if you don't have a favourite already.
