fcp multicam question

   I recently shot a freebie for a kids church camp with 2 avchd pro cams in the fastest hd 1080i.  Another person used a hard drive based hd consumer cam to film the event.  it is not the same format as my other two.  will multicam work or will I have to transcode to prores first?    Pros /cons of each or best option would be appreciated.

   Pretty much any resolution/format will work with mutlicam. The only major thing is that the clips MUST match resolution AND compression format AND fps. Make sure that you match the in points or out points to match correctly.
