excelerated playback speed of dvd

   After rendering and burning an edited video on Pinnacle Studio Plus vers 11, random parts of the dvd audio will playback at an excelerated speed. One friend called it a "chipmunk" effect. If I re-render and burn to a new DVd sometimes the effect will clear up. Any thoughts on whats causing the problem? Video is made up of still pix and imported video with no apparent problems in any material used. Thanks
