Acquired 2100 couple weeks ago and have logged about 10 hours of footage of bands in low light and theatrical lighting situations. Remarkably good results in low light. Beautiful, sharply registered reds, no smear, no color echo outline effects. Better color than naked eye. The additional zoom control on handle is a plus. Controls in good positions, except that manual exposure control (aperture) is inaccessible when LCD viewer is flipped out. (There is an alternative that is accessible at back of camera if you need this feature in the middle of a shot.) Own Canon Hi8s and Sony Digital8 camcorders. This is my first mini DV camcorder. First started straying from Canon when I discoverd how much better Sony batteries were than Canon's. (This was 5 years ago; I assume Canon batteries have caught up by now; but worth compaing if you are considera a Canon.)
