    Either payware or not... but just something to keep me out of the hell otherwise known as windows?

    Or... are there good, decent open editors out there that you love and would recommend without hesitation?

  2.  Google search for "linux based video editing software" provided many hits. One site that looked promising;

    I run a full bsd unix operating system usind the KDE os enviornment and have been looking for a good video editing software to run on that platform, the best I have found so far is Kdenlives it looks to have the tools that you find in the basic editing systems you find in the $100 range. I have read good reviews of a tool called Cinerella available at http://heroinewarrior.com/cinelerra.php and, another tool in development at:http://www.cinefx.org/

    Hope you find a tool you like, post it on VM when you find one you like
