Well worth a visit to Friedhelm Fischer website for more specific info. Check it out. Good find, Derek.

I would be tempted to navigate my way through his tutorial, using the support images on his site, in an attempt to create one of these tools so I could keep it around for that occasional beauty pass. Getting the specific parts to which he refers might be a bit problematic. I'd have to scout around on the left coast and see what I could find that is comparable.

Great find. The DIY system is more expensive than others, but more robust. The ability to use a longer track if needed, is a nice perk also.

Steve, did you find all the parts to make it? If so, can you post links to where you get them? Thanks

The setup is on the Friedhelm Fischer site Earl posted (<- link is right to the setup instead of the home page). Most of the items are on Amazon. If you need a longer track or different track/slider, you can also get them at the Igus website.
