   which is better to transfer video to dvd, use firewire or s-vhs going to buy a dvd recorder

   Firewire should give you a perfect image becuase it is digital. There shouldn't be loss in quality. I don't know exactly what you want to be able to do but Firewire should be the best.

   Stick to firewire. You can get a DVD recorder with firewire in connection.
