I havea Panasonic HD DVR which saves to memory in the camera and/or an SD-card.  The camera came with AE Writer 1.0 for editing and finishing.  My son is doing a Video Production class in High School, and we've hit a snag using our camera.

The school uses Apple computers and "IMovie".  He needs to convert his "Panasonic" video files(.cont, .iis, and .m2ts) into something(MPEG2 maybe?) useable by the school's Apples.  I'm wondering if the "Create a DVD" function in the AE Writer program will do that, and still allow the files to be transferred to an Apple and be edited?
