The CompactFlash Association (CFA) announced the availability of the CompactFlash 5.0 specification.

Up to 144 petabytes of storage - to put that into perspective, 1 petabyte = 1000 terabytes. This is up from the 137GB. This advancement is definitely aimed at the DSLR camcorder market!

So is this capability going to be in card form or portable drives? Not to mention, what kind of pricing are we staring down the barrel at?
