Hi - I'm attempting my first TV commercial. I'll be using my XL2 - just wondering what the "must have" settings are for output of footage.

      thanks in advance.

A lot of people shoot 24p or 30p for their "gold package" when it comes to commercials. Really depends on the market and client. I know market 130; Chico-Redding, CA. Typically is 24p or 30p for the higher end commercials.

What's the final output format from post to the TV station? media format/file info? I believe my footage is going to someone that uses Adobe Premiere.

I may have access to a Panny HVX200, so wondering if my 720p will produce what I need, or do I need the 1080p?

Some will have you ftp the spot, others will take Mini-DV as well as DVD masters. Honestly, depends on the station call them up.
