Canon GL1 remote control tripod questions

    What's the best way to put together a tripod with remote control
   for zoom and record, and whatever else? Will the Sony VCT-60AV:

   run a GL1? If not, what will work?

    Well first, that tripod you linked is crappy. You want a fluid head tripod. A tripod is your best friend, so don't be cheap.

    Second, look into controllers from Varizoom. I was going to get one for my GL, but then I sold it and got a different camera. So I know they have them for a GL.
