Lee, I know I stated in another post that I've been a bit dissappointed with the way my pcs rendered video, but I need to clarify some things. First of all, I love computers, all computers. They may be frustrating sometimes trying to get them to do what I want but I still love working with them. As I mentioned before, and I've realized that if I want a pc to do video editing for me, I'm going to have to buy a brand new one and just use it for that purpose; video editing.
I haven't decided that macs are going to be my one and only platform for this or any other purpose, I'm just trying to find out what device works with what machine. Since I've owned my mac, I like what it can do and I've been getting used to using Final Cut Express. It takes a while to learn how to use it, but I'm getting the hang of it. It's obvious that I'm not going to be able to use Vegas 4.o video software with the mac, so I realize that's out. If I ever want to use pc based video softwares, then I suppose I'll end up investing in another pc, but I'm sure that won't be for a long while. As far as whether it's stressfull, no, it's not stressfull working with these computers. As I mentioned before, they're kind of frustrating from time to time, but I'm learning to use them, and yes, they are fun to use. Sure I've invested a lot of money, but it hasn't put me in the poor house by no means, but if I want to buy another pc in the future, it wouldn't hurt me financially at all. I consider computers like my own personal collection of toys, and if I did want to buy another one, I'd probably sell one of the ones I already have.
If I did buy another pc with different software, I wouldn't consider it alien to me to use at all, just different from the mac.
I need to stress this point once again: computers, whether they're macs or pcs are just tools to me. I don't have a preference one way or the other. I like them both, but I very much value opinions such as your own or others to help me with them now and then. So please continue to give me feedback on this subject and help me to understand these complex machines. Thanks for your continued advise.
