Can a tape from a Sony 1000U work in a DCR HC62

   I got my wedding filmed by a 3rd party using a Sony 1000U in 1080p video.  I wanted the raw video for myself as I edit using Pinnacle Studio HD.  Due to a miscommunication, he gave me the tapes, instead of .AVI files.

   So I now need to transfer those tapes myself and currently have access to a Sony DCR HC62 camera, and am wondering if it will take those same tapes from the original Sony 1000U camera and transfer it into Pinnacle over firewire/usb?

   Otherwise, I'll have to rent a Sony 1000U unit for a weekend and so it that way.

   Any advice?
