Betacam SP with FireWire out?

   I need to provide broadcast BetaSP tapes to local TV Stations, but wonder if there is BetaSP recorder in the market equipped with a Firewire connection or with DV Codecs in their electronic. Sort of a transition deck for those of us with long term plans into DV. I'm looking for a BetaSP deck with utility long after BetaSP tapes have been forgotten. Anything out there?

   Why can't you use one of these with ANY Beta deck to get it to DV?
