    Greetings All...

I am seeking advice on quality (but not budget-breaking) XLR cables to purchase. I have a few major projects coming up where I will be tapping into a sound board and running that into my camera's XLR inputs.

I know I am going to need various lengths, including one 100' and a couple of 25' and possibly 1 or 2 10'. I have checked B&H and found the Hosa brand 100' for under $60. Anyone have any experience with this particular cable? If not, I am open to suggestions.

    Thanks in advance!

100 feet? have you considered wireless?

Sorry, can't help on the cable question, but I've never ordered anything that was poor quality from B&H.

yes, i have considered the wireless option but i also want to have a hard wire as backup if needed. what would you recommend in the wireless department? basically i am going to be using the house sound board and input that directly into one of my cameras.

You know you can't just bring the sound board straight into your camera, right? You need to step down the voltage with a resistance. Beachtek adapters and most mixers will handle that.

Look for a true diversity UHF system. Azden has budget-priced models and you'll get good deals on them through B&H.

I have experience with their VMx VHF series, 100 UHF and 500 UHF models. I've never had a dropout with the 500 set, but to be honest, dropouts and interference have been very rare on the 100 and fairly rare on the VHF set (but it does have a little background hiss), even in the "big cities" like Tulsa and OKC.

Yes, I do have a BeachTek adapter for my cameras, so I have that already taken care of.

I will check out the wireless systems you suggested through B&H...I appreciate your help.
