Best Rotoscoping software?

   for some time now i have been trying to find a good rotoscoping software, i have tried such programs as ulead video paint, and i tried the filmstrip to photoshop technique. Ulead video paint has the nice onion skin which allows for precsion painting, such when drawing lasers etc. Photoshop does not have the onion skin to my knowledge but has a much more high quality paint, can anyone tell me what is the best rotoscoping software to use? Thanks.

   I use combustion 2.1 and its pretty good go to discreet.com and get the demo. Version 3 should be coming out pretty soon.

   how do i make a line glow in this software? it seems very good for frame by frame editing, how do i add a glow to a line.

   Are you using combustion? If so then glow is under the operaters.

   I use Adobe After Effects to create my lightsabers.
   to add the glow to the mask, you can either duplicate the mask and increase the feather for every mask, or you can duplicate the mask and add an increasing fast blur to it.

   Combustion is actually up to version 4 as of last year. After Effects is a great tool for roto work. As is Combustion. Anything with bezier masking tools will work well.

   I use AE with Vegas 6, but usually I'll just create an entire segment in After Effects, render it with the DV preset and bring it into Vegas
