Best Pro camcorder help?

   Im trying to get a camcorder with more of that professional clear look to it, compared to the home movie effect my current camera gives me now..Can anyone recommend a camera that can give me that quality? Im tryin to keep it around $2000 for my budget

   Many of the pro videographers around my area, as well as me, use Sony DCR-VX2100's.  Not all but many.

   I am not sure about HD camcorders.
