   What's the best method to convert an AVI file to an MOV?

    you need an encoder.  I use a program called Super.

   Most non-linear editors will do this - All (I tihnk) will let you put AVI files on the timeline and most will render out to MOV (wrapper) with various CODEC's.

    Hi, best method? I think till now, using iWisoft Free Video converter to convert avi to mov is the best method for me, I like using this free and good tool to get mov video from various videos for my quicktime.
