I shot a video profile for a friends business. I could hear the audio through the headsets during the shoot and even during playback from the video camera itself. After importing the video into Sony Vegas Pro 9 the audio track was missing. I used an canon GL2, a pro sony lavalier mic, and connected them using a beachtek DXA-2S adapter. Is this a recording issue or an importing issue? If its an importing issue, how do I correct this?

Any help would be much appricated. Thank you

This usually happens when the audio uses a codec that Vegas does not support. Sony Vegas 9 supports various audio formats, including AC3, MP3, OGG, R3D, RM, WAV, and WMA. You can check your audio format to see if it is one of them. If not, you will need to use some other program to trans-code your files into a a format that Vegas can edit.
