hi, im new to the fourms here so hello everybody

anyway... im pretty new to video making  but i really really like it so far... i have a Panasonic PV-GS80 camcorder that doesn't have a audio in plug.... i would like to have a external audio recording (i would probably make a boom) and also under $100.

Looking at portable recorders at the B&H website, Zoom has one for $200.  I've read of other video makers being happy with recorders from Marantz and Edirol, but those have higher prices.

You might be able to find a cheap dictation recorder at an office supply store.  Of course, the audio might be ...ah ... "quality challenged".

    Good luck!
