Audio (DVX100b)

   I have a dvx 100b and i do film work for my church. I have been using a boom mic on a stand for my source of audio. The videos that i shoot are played on the house speakers and displayed on projectors. The video quality is great but i have been having issues with the sound. I have the mic plugged into my input 2 and have the setting set to mic. i also have the volume generally around 3/4 of the way up with the rec level to 48k 16bit. Mic alc off and mic gain to -50. These are my settings but im not very educated with the audio set up on my camera. Are my settings good? should i change them?
   
   PS i have a audio technica wirless lapell orderd.
