Apple's G-5

   There has been alot of press about the problems that the G-5 is having, i.e., Loud noise, overheating, hard drive crashing. Has anyone experienced these problems?
   
   My dilemma is that my school sells the Powerbook G-4 - 17" for the SAME price as the G-5 dual 1.8 WITH a 17" Apple monitor. But with all the bad publicity (even on Apple's own discussion board) What do I buy?
   
   I was in Apple's Soho store and asked a person why he was bringing his G-5 in for service. He said that he has never had as many problems with any of his computers then he has had with his G-5. He said that the loud noise was probably an indication that his Hard Drive was about to Crash.
   
   Any comments?
