    Derek,

    Thanks for showing this. I try to get across to the members when they about DSLR's that to get the potential of the video side to work they are going to need a fairly significant amount of support gear. Now of course the diagram above has a few optional devices, but even though you might only spend $800 bucks for the camera (in the case of a Canon Ti), you're still going to shell out some bucks for all the support gear.

    Essential items not on the diagram; Camera bag, Batteries, Battery Charger, Recording Media, Laptop/portable standalone backup device, Recording media case, Tripod Bag and extra lenses (one size does not fit all.)
