Analog to Digital

   What is the best way to convert analog to digital? I have looked at Pinnacle USB and Pinnacle AV/DV. Which of these would work best? Also, how can you use a digital video camera to convert analog video from another camera? I have a lot of footage that hasn't been edited from a Hi8 camera, but also want to edit footage from a miniDV camera. What is the best program that will allow me to edit both analog and digital? Thank you

   Pinnacle AV/DV would work better for you than the Pinnacle USB. There's a good product that I use called PYRO AV Link Professional. It is an analog-to-digital converter also. Visit http://www.adstech.com.
   
   You can capture your hi-8 tapes and MiniDV tapes using an analog-to-digital converter and edit in your Non-Linear editor.
   
   You can edit your video using Final Cut Pro (Mac), Adobe Premiere Pro (PC) or Avid Express (PC). There are also other good video editing programs out there.
