AMD Dual Core vs Quad

    I'm looking to upgrade my editing PC, and have found that Newegg has a good deal on a motherboard: ECS A780GM-A and Quad Core: AMD Phenom 9850 BLACK EDITION 2.5GHz.  If I buy both together, it only costs $45 more than it would if I configured the motherboard with a 3.2 GHZ 6400+.  I plan to edit using Vegas Movie Studio on Windows XP Home, and will use this computer as a gaming box too.  I'm wondering if it I should go for the quad or if the difference between the two cpu's will be so small that I'd be better off pocketing the difference.
