    Hello Videomaker community:

Ater Effects (I'm using the CS4 Version) under preferences have an option called Memory and Multiprocessing. How exactly does this work? I have a Intel Core 2 Duo Processor with 4 GB of RAM and in the Memory and Multiprocessing preferences I put:

Total AFX Memory Usage: 3.75 GB

RAM to leave for other applications: 0.25 GB

I checked Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously

    Foreground Memory Usage: 1.76 GB

Background Memory Usage: 1.99 GB (1 GB per CPU)

Actual CPU that will be used: 2

CPU to leave for other applications: 0

Using this preferences I don't see any major improvement using AFX. Is this suppose to make the rendering or the previews faster? My OS is Mac OS X Version 10.5.8.

    Thanks for all the help
