I'm looking everywhere for a 3CCD camera that records to SDHC and shoots standard-def video. Does such a beast exist? I was so excited when I saw the JVC HM-100U, but nearly cried when I learned it's HD only.

I'm no ready to make the HD switch, yet, but I need a nice 3-chip, solid-state, SD cam.

    Any ideas, anyone? Thanks!

Does it have to record to SDHC? The Panasonic P2 cameras, such as the HVX200 and HPX170, record both HD and SD to P2 cards. The cards may be pricey, but they pay for themselves over time since they are reusable and you don't have to buy a deck.

Well, I had'nt considered P2, but I was hoping to stay under $4,000.

well, you can always buy a camera that records HD only and down-convert on the import.
