I have Vegas  8 as well but trying to get the feel for Pinnacle 12 Ultimate, I think Vegas is a fantastic program. With that said, in my opinion:</p> <ol> <li>I have Vegas 8.od if its the latest update but not sure where you found 8.1 -I checked  on the Sony support site.  only 8.0c available for download. Are you sure 8.1 is from a legitimate source?</li> <li>You don't need to install from the original CD you can download from the Sony site then just register with your keys. (serial #'s off the box)</li> <li>You might be able to install two versions if you create a new partition then install the second version into it. Yes no maybe?</p> <p>Do I need to re-install from the original disk and then update to 8.1 or can I just download 8.1 and install using my serial number off of the box?</p> <p>Another dumb question.  Can I have both versions 8.0c and 8.1 installed on the same computer?  I assumed it would be one or the other.</p> <p>Thanks for the help.</p>
