I've been reading up on legal issues of using audio tracks (and other music) in wedding video productions. My question is this: are the songs played by a DJ service at a wedding usable in my wedding videos without violating the legal "rights" issue? I heard that if I use less than 30 seconds of the song, than there is no violation -- any comment on this?

I was catching up on my newspapers this morning and was reading an article about how to save money on your wedding. One of the suggestions was instead of hiring someone to do video to use a service called wedit. This was the first time I had heard of this service but the concept is they send you 5 hd flip cameras and you hand them to guests to use. You send them back and they edit.

On the pricing page they of course have different packages. On their top package $799 you get a highlight video with the song of your choice. I wonder if they have rights for that or maybe it is just a choice off of their list.

Anyway the concept is interesting but you could end up with a load of c... for your wedding video and still have spent several hundred dollars.

I'm a videographer from Indonesia and really need a others opinion about the 3 best seller cameras in my town. It's SonyVX2100, Panasonic DVX100B and Canon XL2. I want to buy one of those cameras for producing wedding video, music video clip and a company profile.

I also have my project edit by myself. I've been using Sony Vegas for several years and feel really comfort.

Wich one of those three camera suitable for my project and my Sony Vegas ver.5? Wich one produce the most clear image?

Thx for your attention guys..
