I have a Dell Studio 540 with Vista 64 bit and have not been able to capture HD video from my Canon HV10 to Roxio 2009. I have been told that capture is not compatable with 64 bit althouh once captured, processing is superior to 32 bit. I have searched in vain for a program that can be used to caprture and asked Roxio and Microsoft if there is a fix on the way but no satisfactory answer. I'm sure someone has the solution.

Hi

Would really appreciate a little from you guys. I am trying to capture some footage from Sony TRV38 to Premiere Pro CS4. The problem is that I use a Windows vista and Sony has not released any drivers for this operating system. They support upto XP but not any later than that. Any ideas ?

Thanks

I used Pinnacle Liquid Edition 6 a few years ago and I am getting back into it. I found out that liquid is not supported on vista. I was able to get it to install in demo mode but it never asked for the studio 9 disks, and I can't get that to install. My question is, what is the closest software to Liquid that will work on vista. I was looking at Studio 12, but it only has 2 video tracks and I feel that I may need more.

I am using Corel Videostudio X2 pro on my laptop with VISTA.

I recently produced two videos that I am having a problem with choppy segments on the final video clip. One video was about 40 minutes long while the other only had a total run time of about 2.5 minutes.

When I have all the clips laid out in the editor things look good with the playback, but then after I render it all together by clicking on share/create video file and select dv 16x9 the final video when viewed on the computer or television on a DVD there are parts that have pretty choppy video.

I did notice that when I put all the files on my portable hard drive and transfer it to my kids laptop with windows XP (using the same version of Corel Videostudio pro X2) it works just fine. Is this simply a VISTA problem?

Thanks

I have a slowly dying Videonics switcher, and would like to use a spare Vista machine as a switcher/recorder.

I have three cameras fed into the switcher via s-video to tape live events and church services. Audio is run from a mixer board. What I'm thinking of doing is putting three or four PCI tv tuner cards into the PC -- but i'm not sure if one PC can handle that many.

What I'd really like to find is like the Canopus boards we used to have when I worked for Charter Cable. Four inputs on one card, onscreen previews of the video feeds in an easy to use switching program. This was back in the days of Win98 and Pentium II 266Mhz and only 256megs of ram. If that clunker could handle that, surely there's stuff out now that can do it, too.

The Canopus boards are no longer around -- they were old when I got to use them. VidBlaster software is a reasonablepackage to handle multiple sources -- the only issue I'm faced with is getting those analog sources into the computer.

Anyone out there editing on a 64-bit Vista pc? We just purchased a laptop with 64-bit Vista & are having some issues with Premier Elements 4.0. I'm considering upgrading to CS3, but the system requirements for that product state that it is not certified on a 64-bit processor. If anyone out there has had success editing with 64-bit please let me know what software you are using. I'm knee deep in wedding videos to edit & I must find a stable software solution. PE4 has caused sleepless night & stress out my ears...Adobe has no resolution to the issue & stated that they didn't test the product for 64-bit and, therefore, can't guarantee it will work. Well, to this point, I can guarantee it WON'T! I would go back to PE2, which worked perfectly, but it won't work with Vista!  ARRGGGGGHHH!!!!
