I have an old tape in which I took several stills during the video, and I'd like to import them. Now, I am not sure how it's done. Of course I know how to find the stills with the search select, but then what? iPhoto doesn't recognize the Canon as a device. I already imported all the video into iMovie, and I can see my "freeze frame" but the playback image is crappy quality so I doubt I can do anything with that. But, of course, quality is not good when capturing from interlaced DV.  Would the captured stills be any better if they were captured from HD video?</p> <p> Trying to decide whether to buy HD camcorder for this purpose.</p>
