I had a couple of .mov clips that I made with a Sony Digital Camera (extremely lo-fi).

When I edited both videos to simulate a telephone conversation with a split screen effect I had no problem with the video track: I superimposed both images, used the crop effect and it was ok.

But I couldn't make the same with the audio tracks. As soon as I imported both .mov clips and dragged them in the timeline, the audios went to the same track (audio 4 in this case).

I even unliked one of the clips, but the audio stayed in the same track. I imported again the clips but automatically the audios were assigned to the same track (again audio 4).

How can I solve that?

Or is it that the split screen, or picture in picture, doesn't allow both audio tracks to work simultaneosly?

Thanks in advance

<p style="padding: 10px 0px 0px;">
Can someone please take a quick look at this link http://www.mellange.com
and look at the demo weddings of Rhonda & Marco Wedding,Eunice and
Charles enhanced slide show and if you have a little more time,
Alejandra & Danny's wedding. I am thinking this editor used some
plug ins but looking through all of the plug in products from Ni and
CV2 and Fx Factory, I couldn't find the plug-ins. I'm sure I can
probably create the effects from scratch, I just wanted some input on
how he created those effects. Which are the animated photo montage from
Eunice and Charles slide show and (i guess) split screen/panes effects.
If someone could help me out figuring out this it would be soooooo
appreciated!!!! Thanks..

Hello. I was recently hired on staff at a resort hotel to be a technical assistant. This establishment hosts several different presentations each year, and wants to purchase some video equipment. The need would be for our conference room, where there are already two projectors in place. What they are looking for is the ability to run 4 fixed cameras into some sort of switcher/mixer and be able to send it to the two projectors. I am absolutley new to the world of live video, so can someone guide me as to what equipment I will need?

Requirements:

- We handle a four camera system.
- The display on the projectors has the ability to be a split screen showing of 2 of our cameras.

I don't have any idea what kind of gear I would need for this... I assume a video switcher/mixer. Do I need seperate gear for the split screen ability? What switcher do you recommend? Are there other components I'm not thinking of (don't worry about offending me-- again, I know NOTHING.)

 Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Oh, and the ability to record, while nice, isn't a priority. Audio is also not an issue. This is all for the live viewing audience, in house.
