I wasn't sure where to post this, and after some searching didn't see anything on it, so I figured I'd post here.

I love the magazine, but became very frustrated after purchasing a year subscription via the iPad Newsstand. Every time I came across an advertisement in the magazine, the app would freeze and a large circular arrow would appear on screen (like a reload button). The only thing I could do at this point would be to open up the table of contents and try to navigate around it, but sometimes even that didn't work. Closing the app and re-opening it didn't do anything; it would come up on the same image. The only way I could reset the app seems to be to uninstall it and reinstall, and then the same issue would come up the next time an advertisement came up. This is very frustrating, as you can imagine.

Has anybody else had this issue? Is there anybody from the magazine that could offer some advice as to how to fix it? I am using an iPad 2 with the latest version of iOS (5.0.1).

Hi, I've been asked to shoot a sport I've never filmed before - volleyball. I'm an experienced sports videographer/journalist and I've covered a lot of sport, football (UK version), rugby, cricket, athletics (T&F), boxing, tennis etc etc but never volleyball. I've got some ideas of camera positions, low to accentuate the height of the guys playing the sport, high (around the height of the net for some dynamic "spike" footage) but I wondered if anyone here might have experience of shooting the sport they might be prepared to share.

Best regards

Let me begin by saying that I'm happy to have found this site as there is tons of very useful information here. I've searched the forums a bit for a problem similar to mine, but i can't seem to find anything similar or I just don't know what the "keyword" is to find that golden thread with my answer. Anyway, I'm having a problem when I import an .avi file and take a clip from it and drag it to the timeline and then render it. It's very pixelated and isn't nearly of the quality of the original video. What setting have I screwed up that is causing this problem? Thanks very much for your help gurus of video.

Help. I have recently started using a Sony HDR-SR12E camcorder. I have down loaded the video using the Sony Picture Motion Browser (PMB) supplied. That is fine for editing but I would like to use Microsoft Video Maker (MVM) which came within MS Vista Home Premium. I am unable to get the video clips into MVM. When trying to import video clips, and clicking on the folder - the folder is empty, yet when you go back to PMB they are there. What am I doing wrong? A very frustrated editor. I am not an expert with computers so please don't make responses too technical. Thank you.

Here is my question. I loaded one of my videos from my cam. to the computer and loaded it up to Movie Edit Pro 12, and when i play the video this repetitive clicking sound that drowns out the actual voice on the vid. What do I do? I checked the audio options but i haven't messed with anything so i don't understand what the problem is.

 Thank you.
