I believe that can be done by experimenting with the multicam feature in professional NLE. By rapidly changing cameras, cropping some upper clips and later adding a main video below the changes of the cameras. I'm not completely sure, but now I have a deep curiosity to test it out. Still, like doublehamm mentioned, if you want more control you need time and lots of patience.

Well, if you wanted something automated, Pinnacle Studio has a feature that allows you to add some footage, then add music and then the program will analyze the music and create a music video for you. Different styles are available, and even a style that would have all sorts of super fast cuts. The downside is you have no control of exactly what each clip shows - but then again if you wanted that control you would take your time with patience and work it out!

Using this as an example. I want to find an easier way to do the quick cuts that you would see in videos like this. Where there are lots of quick half second or less clips. I asked this in another forum but was told that there is no easy way of doing this. That it just takes a lot of time and patience. Wanted to double check to see if there is a plugin or a tutorial or anything to make the process easier?

A few years ago, Sony had been including a small set of Magic Bullet plug-in effects. I remember that an "old film" effect was one of them. Just now I looked at my version 8, and don't see any mention of Magic Bullet. But I do see many plug-ins, incuding one for "old film". Maybe Sony decided they have enough Sony plug-ins, and no longer need Magic Bullet plug-ins. (Just my guess.)

Hello to all,

I've just updated the DVShade plugin, it now consists of one plugin, DVShade EasyLooks. This plugin is comparable to Magic Bullet Editors Looks but costs much much less. I have included some presets with it as well. Check out the site http://www.dvshade.com for more info.

I will also be launching a new plugin within the next month entitled DVShade Toon'In. This will give your digital videos a cartoon look a la Waking Life or A Scanner Darkly style.

Reflection V2 is still in the works, I have had to change it to the FxPlug API as the FXScript API is giving me less than stellar results. The good news is that it will be OpenGL accelerated and will work in Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express 4, and now Motion.

Thanks you all for the support, and if anyone has a cool idea for a plugin, or is in dire need of one, feel free to forward it to me at andtrev@gmail.com. Anything I create for you will be freely available on my site so that everyone can benefit from it.

Thanks again,
Trevor Anderson
