I myself am a small time film maker, and moving to the United States from Bolivia, I started all over, to try and direct and produce my own ideas. All I have now is a small handycam, and am looking to buy a much better camera. My budget is low for now, but I am looking at around $2,000. I have been told that the Panasonic DVX100 is a great camera for someone on that budget. Could anyone please let me know what their thoughts are. Thanks so much. The majority of my work is documentaries or short films. Very artistic and poetic, I tend to stick to alternate angles and different graphics for my films. Thank you so much,</p> <p> Caleb</p> http://www.videomaker.com/community/forums/topic/buying-a-new-camera-help#post-36906 Tue, 27 May 2008 18:38:28 +0000 FilmBalance 36906@http://www.videomaker.com/community/forums/ <p>Hey guys,</p> <p>I'm looking to upgrade to the HD market so that means upgrading my camera.  I'm looking at Sony right now.  A friend of mine has the V1U I believe but I need something that has the low-light abilities of Sony's PD170 without the issues of the CMOS sensory issues I've been hearing about.  I'm a film student/videographer, currently doing weddings and training videos, so something that can produce beautiful pictures, can do SD or HD, has low light abilities, and is hearty is what I'm looking for.</p> <p> Any suggestions?  Should I be looking at different cameras?  Any advice you guys have is MUCH appreciated!!!  :)</p>
