I have Magix Movie Edit HD 17 Plus Pro. I can burn a regular sidebyside dvd but when plyed on a 3Dplayer, it does not recognize it as a 3D disk.

Can Magix Movie Edit HD 17 Plus Pro create a disc that is recognizable to a 3Dplayer and 3DTV? If so, how? I use both .avi from fuijifilm w3 and .mts from JVC TD1.

I made several discs, data, mpeg, avi, and standard dvd, but sidebyside and non of them worked when I took it to Bestbuy to test on the latest players.

Also, Magix Movie Edit HD 17 Plus Pro doesn't recognize JVC's MVC files. Do I have to export MVC files as left and right and then sync into 3D?

Thanks.

Hi,

I shot a wedding with a JCV TD1 3D camcorder. I want to put it on disc so that I can give the bride and groom to play on a 3DTV and 3Dplayer.

However I have been unsuccessful with Magix Movie Edit 17 HD pro in making a RealD dvd/bluray (one that plays on a 3D player). all the discs i made when I went to Bestbuy to test did not work, It only played sidebyside on the screens. Does any one know how to do that Magix Movie Edit 17?

Or do I need to get Roxio Creator 2011 to create a RealD disc?

Or do I need to get Sony Vegas?

Thanks.

I am reading everything you guys write here and I'm envy. I take a lot of videos of the family (with my Flip HD) but it's juts
dusting on my hard drive. I barely watch it and never share it. I tried editing once or twice but gave up pretty quickly. I was told about magisto which is suppose to be for people like me (busy? lazy!) but when I get in http://www.magisto.com I can only register for an invite. I don't know anyone who
can send me an invite and I don't know when will they open their site
for everyone cause now it's in closed alpha or beta or something. Can
anyone here help? Ever heard of these guys?

I am having problems with Movie Edit Pro 14. When I try to burn a disc program made up of several photos, songs, and movies, my computer shuts down. I am running Windows XP with a 2.8 GHz pentium processor. I replaced the power supply, beefed up my HD (500GB), increased my memory to 3 GB of RAM, and tried a different DVD burner. No dice.

In the burn window, there's plenty of space on the DVD. When I cut the DVD into several smaller disc projects that are 6-7 minutes long I can get it to burn. But, they have to be less than 500 MB. That seems like a waste of space on a DVD and a lot of DVDs to watch to enjoy a slideshow/movieshow of my vacation. Any advice?

PS I tried EMAGIX, but they want me to pay a fee to get tech support as I have had the program for about a year now.

Thanks!

<p class="postcolor" id="post-258934">Hi,

I am fairly new to Magix even though I have had MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 14 PLUS for some time. Could I therefore ask for some help please.

I have edited 5 videos and each has its own chapters and menus.

I am now ready to burn our my first hi-def disk.

I would like to put these 5 videos onto one disk (assume they should fit), if not as many as possible.

However, I would like a Master menu at the front so I can fselect and go to Movie 1, Movie 2 etc and then access the menu page for the cahpters to that video.

Is that possible to do please and if so would someone be kind enough to offer a layman's guide as to how to do it.

It is actually fairly urgent and any help would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks

This thread and these forums exist for our readers to learn anything and everything about video. It's fine, ask away! In terms of Avid. Adobe was a program that reflects a lot of others out there that was designed by programmers, to me Avid on the other hand was designed by Editors. So I wouldn't say that the workflow is better, but I would say that things feel a tad bit more intuitive. As for the reason that I dont use it.... comes down to cold hard deniros (or lack there of).

>>Um, so what's the deal with Avid? And why do you choose CS3, Magix and After Effects over Avid?

I do not mean to hijack this thread. I guess I'm just trying to determine if there is a 'hypothetical ideal' video program on the PC platform, so I can go to it, and then get on with it. So far I like Vegas a lot, and it is very easy to use, but I have noticed some limitations.

Is there such a thing as an 'ideal app'? Does Avid qualify? Or why are you using Magix when you probably have access to Avid?

I hope you don't mind all of my questions. If I should start a different thread, please just say so.

>>Knowing what I know now though, sometimes I edit originally with CS3 then drop things into Video Pro X, and finally dump them into After Effects or Vegas for additional color correction if I need it.

Do you use Debugmode Frameserver, or anything? Or do the files just dump straight across?

I'm with Vegas for now. I keep asking myself if I will transition to Avid on my next machine upgrade, because Avid is supposed to have an allegedly faster workflow?

Um, so what's the deal with Avid? And why do you choose CS3, Magix and After Effects over Avid?

Yes it gives you a few different filters, better color correction and the overall workflow is much different. However, if you already went with Vegas I see no reason to add another editing program. Knowing what I know now though, sometimes I edit originally with CS3 then drop things into Video Pro X, and finally dump them into After Effects or Vegas for additional color correction if I need it.

Hi guys, sorry was on special Videomaker assignment and had a much needed (short) vacation. Yes Magix Video Pro X is a great program for 3 reasons:

1.) User Friendly

2.) Professional Level Editing

3.) Price

First up, it is way too easy to do everything that was hard to figure out in Premeire or FCP as a beginner. The first time I looked at this program I could pick it up and figure it out. Everything from unlinking tracks, to mixing audio to creating advanced and heavily layered filters over the video. Just so easy!

Second, I thought that since I had never heard of the program, it would well suck! And no, I was very wrong. It could take in AVCHD, made ripping from CDs understandable for me and exporting was very simple. The point here is, whatever advanced piece of the puzzle I needed it could do plus it made things easy.

And lastly, seriously it's cheap! Better deal than a lot of the other bigger more widely known options....

>>Magix Video Pro X http://www.videomaker.com/article/14420/

Yes, I read it a couple of months ago online, and twice in their printed mag as well, but I still have questions. The feature I liked most was the multicam thing; but apart from that, I don't really know what else it has to offer over Sony Vegas.

>>Best to find some actual user reviews, however...

Exactly. But since Tom uses it ("It's one of my favorite programs!") I was hoping he would feel led to share what exactly it is that he likes about it (perhaps as compared to Vegas), as they do not have a Magix section either here in their forum, or on Creative Cow.

What advantages does it have?

(What does it do that other programs won't do?)

Thanks.

>>It's one of my favorite programs! What's the question?

Hi Tom.

The question is: "Why (is it one of your favorite programs)?"
