Quality is really awful. Using HD cameras now (XHA1S), and even though we are shooting these SD; the quality bring in via FCP and editing multicam is so much nicer. </p> <p>Wondering if it may be good to use Canon FS-CF DTEs rather than fooling with tape, and tape issues that arise often; or trying a software based solution like <a href="http://www.telestream.net/wire-cast/wirecast-pro.htm">wirecast</a>?</p> <p>It just seems like getting a switcher that handles firewire is really going way out of our budget.</p> <p>Sure could use a little advise!
