Howdy! It's been a long time since I've been active on videomaker, but I want to get back in. I'd love it if anyone would take the time to watch and/or critique this short film my team and I recently finished. I was the Director of Photography, among other things. It is a science fiction short set in a dystopian alternate future - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMdnKqHrgdo

We used 2 cameras, a Panasonic HMC-150, and a Canon T2i was used for the close up shots during the main sequence.

Any feedback you can offer is appreciated!

Hi there,

James here, just finished editing some clips of my bands adventures to central australia.

First effort creating anything like this would love some feedback and advice on what could improved for future additions.

We have shot everything ourselves and the vibe is definitely informal, am curious to hear what anyone thinks and who I could refer this video to for future promotion.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tZebOqyU4o

If you enjoy this, please have a look at our myspace or facebook, http://www.facebook.com/colourfide and check out some more I have posted.

We are a roots/reggae/funk collective from the Gold Coast but currently based in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory working and collaborating with some indigenous musicians out here.

Peace,

Looking for a producer/director for a training video for web delivery. Low budget (hey, its better than no budget), so I'm looking for a one-man-band that can cast, direct, shoot, and handle post. OK, maybe a 2-man band. Looking for creative visionary talent who will bring fresh ideas to liven up the sometimes entertaining but potentially sleep-inducing talking head that I am. I'll be in LA in mid-November to actually get this done. Interested? Got reel? I'm rabranch32 at gmail

Hello Everyone,

I am looking at getting into getting a camera for both shooting weddings, special event, etc and also short movie, Full length movies and documentaries. I am having trouble deciding between cameras.

I would like to get the Sony HDR-HC1 for its HD ability compact size and abiltiy to use mini dv tapes.

I am also looking at the Panasonic DVX100 DVX-100A for it's professional features and good reviews for this type of shooting.

Question is, will the HC1 work for short movies and even indie filmmaking or would the DVX100a be a better choice.

Thanks.

Check out our second movie, When a Stranger Calls and Won't Shut Up. The web version does no justice to it's video quality, but I would be honored if you (yes, YOU) saw it. It's split into two parts to fit online.
