I am using a Canon XF300 camera to film someone applying paint to a floor. When the camera in panning on the freshly applied paint, we see flickering and shimmering where light hits the shinny surface. It looks perfect when the camera stands still. I'm shooting at 1028p30 and my shutter speed is 40. Is it because my shutter speed is too low? I've heard that my shutter speed should be twice as fast as the frame rate, which is 30 in my case.

I'm having some major issues when compressing my dot mov out of compressor into DVD format. Lots of flickering or artifacting is happening. These problems are not in my dot mov so it's obvious the problem lies in Compressor. My dot my is in Apple ProRes 422 and I'm compressing to DVD. The video here looks funny because it is the DVD mpeg 2 compression but you can still see the issue happening. I've tried different compression settings and am at the end of my rope. Any suggestions or help?

Using DVD Architect, I'm getting 'flickering' horizontal lines when playing the DVD on TVs through a DVD player, the DVD and the MPEG file are fine when played on the computer. These flickering horizontal lines are somewhat distracting from the main subject. I've tried burning at a slower rate. Any advice?
