I know that there has been some discussion about people trying to get good equipment with little investment. So I thought I would throw this topic out there.

When I was looking to buy a camera last year I started doing research on what camera would meet my needs for the least amount of money. My budget was between 1500 and 1800 dollars.

I then started watching auctions on Ebay and I could not understand why used cameras were selling for prices near what I could buy them new. I don't understand why people would not spend the 150 to 200 more and get brand new with warranty from a reputable dealer.

PLEASE CRITIQUE MY TWO VIDEOS. I just found this forum last night, and am new to video making. I truly love it, and want to learn all I can. The tips & tricks page seems to be a really great place to start. I have been learning Pinnacle on my own since January of this year when I have a chance.

I would like to make travel aid DVDS for Tahoe and Reno, etc... for sale on eBay, so, when I do I want them to be high quality with great effects. I would like to speed up my learning process now. I could use anyone's advice, and would appreciate it.

I have a Michael Jordon & Tony Romo video that I need to - hold my breath -Â edit together, and get up for sale. I find the still photo videos so much easier, and just plain fun. Video videos much harder.

Thank you to anyone & everyone who replies back!!

Hi there,

I'm about to buy a camera on the below link on ebay but I thought it sensible to seek abit of expert advice first. It's a camera for a documentary shoot in China and being in the sticks abit, it's not the place to buy wrongly. It's a PD150 with Operation: 460hrs, Drum: 250hrs, Tape: 110hrs and threading 1110 times.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170206276545&_trksid=p3907.m32&_trkparms=tab%3DWatching

Camera seems in good knick with a minor scuff on the rocker zoom and no other marks visible. Seller also has a first class rating.  I'm just being really careful with this one, so any advice would be hugely appreciated.

Cheers,

Stephen
