I'd like to experiment with an ext mic for my GZ-MS100U...I understand that it may be possible to drive an audio in signal through the A/V jack.....anyone try this? I think the built-in is a condenser mic, so would a small preamp be needed with an external? I tried opening the unit up to add a jack but there's just no room in this tightly packed cam...

I have a JVC MG-155U hard disk camcorder with an A/V port that can switch between input and output. When a cable is connected to A/V while Analog Input is enabled, the camera attempts to get input (audio and video) through the A/V source.

What I want to do is get audio input through an external microphone while recording video through the camera. Unfortunately, my camcorder does not have a microphone jack. Are there any cables or special attachments that allow me to receive only audio through A/V?

Where can I buy a 4 channel video mixer, preferably that can do some basic fades and wipes, and possibly overlays. It doesnt need to have high quality inputs. BNC, composite, or S-video inputs are preffered. Thanks!
