I'm trying to make a decision on which editing software to use.
Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. Can someone convince me why APP
would be better than FCP? What's the advantages for a marketing company
wanting to take this in-house for some production work.

Hey Gang,

I posted this in Final Cut Express as well. I'm currently editing the
first episode to a new web series that I'm creating. I rented two field
cameras from a TV station and shot the episode outside with both
cameras. When I came back to edit, one camera had recorded the footage
nicely, while the other recorded everything in a blue hue as if the
camera had a blue filter on it (But it didn't). I am now playing around
with Final Cut Express trying to get the blue hue footage to look like
the regular footage and the Color Corrector filter is not solving the
problem--either I'm not using it right or it's not up to snuff.

Does
anyone know a) how to solve my problem, b) of any software that might
solve my problem? I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 and After Effects CS5 on
my computer, but have not used either of these yet--if you can help me
resolve my problem using either of these, please let me know.

To
view the blue hue, please go to: http://www.youtube.com/totallybragging. The
first shots of the girls have the blue hue. And later on in the trailer
when Cortney says "Bragging" that's the color I'd like to have on the
blue hue shots.

If this problem cannot be resolved, I'm thinking
that I can just convert the blue footage to black and white, which might
work???

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Caleb

I started to use PPCS4 the other day because I need to take video and prepare it for a website. I think I would like to use Flash and when I saved the video, PP put it into F4V format. I have not heard of this type of Flash before. Will my website users be able to play this? Wouldn't FLV be more readily playable?

Dear folks;

I can capture DV successfully with no problem but I can't capture HDV.

I tried different HDV pre-sets for project settings, I can playback the HDV on the capture window. But when I press capture button on device control, it just says capturing and captures NO audio and video.

I have Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop and Sony HDR Fx-7 cam as hardware.
Adobe Premiere Pro 2 as software.

I will appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance!
