I was curious if anyone has used the panasonic Ag HMC70U.

Almost everyweek someone on these forums asks what camera to buy and I ran across this unit on B&H (link below). It has tapeless workflow, 3CCD, and XLR inputs all for $1695.00 which is a lot of what people are looking for so I was curious what people thought about it.

Hi,

I am planning to buy a new High Def. HDD camera. I have seen some new Panasonic 3CCD, Sony and Canon Cameras.

I need it to perform well under Low light (indoors) scenery and have a good picture quality. Is the 3CCD lense the best one or is there any other new technology for optimal image quality?

Ã?Â

Thanks

Is there still such thing at a 3 ccd camera with a mic input and headphone jack for less than $1000? The closest I can find is a Panasonic AG-DVC20 for 1124.99 through pricegrabber.com. I didn't follow through to see if that price is real though.

From past forums I see the Panasonic PV-GS180 is a good camera. Is there a modern version that is similar with 3ccd, Mic Input, and a Headphone Jack?

 Thanks for the help!

Hi,

This is my first post so sorry for any silly questions.

I have a crappy little samsung camcorder at the moment, but I really want to get a 3CCD camera as most of my footage just lacks nice colors at all! I use my camcorder for shotting BMX videos of my friends so nothing on a big production scale. I just want a nice (and cheap enough) camera for shotting. So far I have been looking at the Panasonic NV-GS230 and NV-GS320. But since I don't know that much about camcorders I dont know what to look out for.

Thanks for any advice you can give me!
